The Mold Guy is dedicated to performing mold inspections specifically for hyper-sensitive individuals with complex health issues like CIRS, Lyme, Autoimmune Issues, etc. Founded in 2005 by Mark Levy after making a simple observation: dealing with mold contamination is overwhelming and scary. Questions like "Will mold make me sick?" and "Do I need to leave my home right now?" fly through one’s mind the instant a mold problem is suspected. Mold is no longer a conspiracy theory. The stress and uncertainty that comes along with a mold problem has been finally acknowledged as being a big of an issue as the mold itself.

Mark is certified by the American Council for Accredited Certifications (ACAC). The Certification Council is North America’s oldest and most prestigious certifying body dedicated to indoor air quality. The ACAC is accredited by the prestigious Certification for Engineering and Scientific Technicians Board (CESB) and National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

Every inspection project is personally supervised and conducted by a team member who is a trained Certified Mold Inspector and Certified Microbial investigator. The Mold Guy is committed to providing and maintaining the highest standards of skill and practice in the environmental inspection profession. Our specialty is laser focused on helping hypersensitive individuals detect and prevent mold and other microbial contaminants inside of their home. The reason for this is because our clients absolutely require a higher standard of care when it comes to the inspection process and testing than what is offered by the typical mold inspection company.

The Mold Guy team has performed over 7000 mold inspections. Approximately 95% of The Mold Guy clients are individuals with hypersensitivities, chronic conditions, or other types of complex health issues. In order to better serve our clients The Mold Guy attends several medical conferences per year on the effects of biotoxin illness in exposed individuals. We are on a mission to help our clients have happy homes so they can breathe easy!

Notable Accomplishments:

Co-founder of Scout Pro. A software company with an iOS app (in the last stages of beta testing). Scout Pro provides mold inspectors and inspection companies the ability to capture photos, notes, generate estimates and comprehensive client reports in real time.
Co-authored an educational pamphlet “Mold Information for Homeowners”.
Mark currently is a member of the IAQA Education committee.
